Subs 2019, Overseas Player and Fixtures

11 Feb 2019

Dear Members

With the outdoor season fast approaching, just a brief note to remind you of the Subscriptions and Match fees for 2019 and to update you about the exciting developments that have been taking place at our Club.

Once again we are looking to build upon the successes of recent seasons with five XI’s entered into the SNEL and a 6th XI and Sunday XI playing friendlies.

1. Subscriptions and Match Fees for 2019:

Please refer to the attached PDF document which gives full details.

Annual Subscriptions were set at the Annual General Meeting held on Thursday, 22nd November 2018 and are due from all members immediately after.

Annual Subscription remains the same as the 2018 season.

Please note however, if subscriptions are not paid by 30th April 2019 renewal will cost you more!

Match fees for the 2019 season are to stay the same as the 2018 season.

2. Groundsman for the two squares:

As reported at the AGM we have secured the services of Ian Jordan as our groundsman. He will be responsible for preparing and maintaining our squares having started this back in September with the end of season works.

Ian comes highly recommended being the groundsman at Wanstead CC, he also prepares the squares at Forest School.

3. New Roller:

As you may have heard we are actively raising funds for a new roller with donations already pledged. If you are able to donate/sponsor or help in any way the Exec would be pleased to hear from you.

4. Overseas Professional for the 2019 Season:

As announced at the AGM Ravi Teja will be returning to Oakfield as our overseas player for 2019. Ravi made a big impact at the club in his first year here and he is as excited as we are that he is coming back; by the time he left us he topped the Div 2 runs and wickets charts, so no pressure for 2019!

Ravi will once again be coaching our Colts on Friday evenings throughout the summer.

5. Tesco Bags of Help Grant Scheme:

We have until the 28th February to vote (with Tesco blue tokens) for OPPC.

You can vote at 8no. Tesco stores across our region; see my e-mail of 20th January for more details.

The organisation with the highest number of votes across our region will receive £4,000, the second placed £2,000, and the third placed £1,000. We are guaranteed at least third place and £1,000 but with your help this could be more!

6. Indoor Training:

Training continues every Sunday morning between 10:00am and 12:00 noon at Ilford County High School. Please try to attend and get in some practice before the outdoor season starts!

7. Fixtures:

Fixtures for the 2019 season are now up on the site.

Best wishes
