Match report In another high-stakes fixture for the 2nd XI, with three games left and maximum points essential, the opposition Westcliff won the toss and elected to bat first.

Carrying their lethal form from the previous week, Selva Ramasamy and Rian Parmar were once again unplayable with the pink ball, bowling with genuine venom and tenacity. Selva struck with the very first delivery of the match, leaving Westcliff immediately on the back foot. Following an early tumble to 7 for 2, a brief recovery emerged through Sai Vijay (31) and Harry Mortimer (20). However, once Rian found his groove, the innings dramatically imploded, sliding rapidly from 55 for 2 to 69 for 6. Westcliff skipper Kamran Khan (32*) and Louis Prosser (8) attempted to dig in, but a sensational run out out of nowhere by Tanay to dismiss Prosser broke the stand. Rian then ripped through the lower order, wrapping up the Westcliff innings for just 107.

Parks suffered an early hiccup in reply, losing a wicket to the fourth ball of the chase. Any lingering nerves were swiftly banished by Faisal Bhatti (61*) and Suryasankara LN (29), who countered with supreme authority and positive intent. Faisal dominated from the outset, batting with commanding control and dispatching 14 boundaries. While Surya fell attempting to seal the result, Gowtham Sanga stepped in to ensure there were no late stumbles. Parks cruised over the line inside 14 overs with eight wickets in hand, securing back-to-back comprehensive victories wrapped up before 3:30 pm.

The squad are fully aware of the stakes heading into the final two fixtures, with promotion to Division One firmly in their sights.
