Aztecs CC Ilford 3rd XI made the most of winning the toss, opting to bat first and putting on an impressive 247 for 8 from 40 overs. Their top and middle order fired confidently, setting the tone for what looked like a strong chance at victory.



H Amanat was the standout, anchoring the innings with a fluent 64 off 57 balls, while D Ramamurthy chipped in with a solid 38. Towards the end, N Abbas gave the innings a final push with a blistering 32 not out off just 17 deliveries, injecting valuable late momentum.


Oakfield Parkonians’ chase never really got going. At 23 for 1 in 6.4 overs, the game was unfortunately abandoned, most likely due to rain and deteriorating ground conditions.


It was a frustrating end , both sides walked away with 6 points apiece.
