Oakfield Parkonians 4th XI delivered a commanding all-round performance to secure an 81-run victory over Woodford Green 3rd XI in a high-scoring league fixture.

Batting first, the home side made full use of favourable conditions to post a formidable 295/9 in 40 overs. Umesh Jinka anchored the innings with a well-paced 79 (10x4s), supported by Ayaan Usman (40) and Siddharth Barua (31). The innings was capped off with a fireworks-filled 50 off 22 balls from Mazhar Minhas, including 3 sixes and 5 fours.

Despite some resistance from Woodford Green’s bowlers—led by Ahsan Nazim (3/33) and Nikhil Kulkarni (2 wickets)—the hosts were always in control.

In response, Woodford Green struggled to keep up with the steep target. Edward Paleit provided stability with a gritty 47 off 74, while Harish Loganathan (29), Debasish Saha (28), and Nazim (24) chipped in. The innings ended with a late flurry from Nikhil Kulkarni, who smashed an unbeaten 36 off 18 balls, but it wasn’t enough.

Oakfield Parkonians’ bowling unit kept things tight throughout. Lakshmi Narayanan and Nivain Jayawardana took crucial wickets, while the fielding unit was sharp and effective.
