Match report Parks won the toss and elected to bat first on a very hot day in what looked like a flat wicket. Parks had a steady start with Surya (10) and Shehariyar (77) leading the way putting on a 48 run partnership. Aman Ali (20) came in next with a quick flurry of 4s before an inside edge on to the stumps. The wicket was proving a lot more difficult than expected with wickets falling in quick succession finding ourselves for 149/6 after 35 overs. Shehariyar soon fell but provided a strong innings with some big boundaries and set a good foundation for the team. In came our youngster, Vyasan (29) who made a valiant effort at the end with the support of the tail to take us to a light but defendable score of 209.

South Woodford started strong with a partnership of 38 from 7 overs from the opening pair but in came Zain Mohid, with some excellent in-swing and leading to the run out for the first wicket. Zain had an excellent spell, bowling 9 overs taking 2 wickets for 39 runs, but was also backed up with Praven Sureshan, with an excellent spell bowling 10 overs for 41 taking 3 big wickets with his very well controlled off spin. Janeban coming up from the 3s provided some outstanding catches, keeping us in contention but having dropped five catches during crucial points in the game, really defined the outcome unfortunately.

Still taking a solid 11 points from the game we still go into next week hoping to find a win and getting us back into a promotion slot.
