Match report Parks travelled to Colchester for their 6th league and 1st timed game of the season. Skipper Faisal won the toss and chose to bowl first. Adarsh and Vyasan opened the bowling and made it difficult for the batters to score with ease. Adarsh removed one of the openers at the score of 34 in 11th over. Colchester’s captain came to bat at 3 and started attacking the bowlers. He was dropped couple of times and as a result managed to score a quick 50 before Praven took a good catch off Nikhil’s bowling to send him back to pavilion. However, poor standards in the field continued with few more dropped catches and misfield on the boundaries. Adarsh, Nikhil and Praven took 2 wickets each and Colchester finished on 272 in 50 overs.

Parks innings didn’t start well as Neil lost his wicket when the score was 18. Aman and Faisal tried to consolidate but Aman got out at the score of 48. Unfortunately, Parks kept losing wickets and failed to put on big partnerships that were required to chase the total. As a result, Parks were 120 for 5 just after the drinks break. This meant that Parks didn’t really have other option than to go for a draw. After Faisal departed with 10 overs to go, Zain and Adarsh did well to hang in there in the end. Parks finished on 175 for 6.
