The venue for the match was Valentines Park in Ilford, where Parks skipper decided to bowl first after winning the toss, given the unfamiliar conditions and a suspicious looking pitch. This decision proved wise as the pitch showed variable and uneven bounce from the start. Parks' opening bowlers, Mazhar Minhas (10-1-25-3) and Sachin Arora (9-1-17-0), took full advantage of the conditions and made life very difficult for the Ilford’s opening batsmen.

After just eight overs and few hits to the bodies, Ilford skipper requested a pitch change due to safety concerns for the batsmen, a request Parks graciously accepted. Despite the change, runs remained hard to come by, and Ilford struggled to 59-4 at the 20-over mark. First-change bowlers Upender Sanga (9.3-2-16-3) and Manicks Shankar (7-3-15-2) maintained the pressure, with wickets falling regularly thanks to an exceptional fielding by the entire team. Newly promoted wicketkeeper Poosnasai (Sai) Vanam impressed with three catches, performing admirably in difficult conditions. Skipper Kavinkumar Veloopillai (5-0-8-2) cleaned up the tail, and Ilford was bowled out for a below-par 103 in 40.3 overs.

With 44 overs to chase the target, Parks knew the challenge posed by the bowler-friendly pitch. Despite losing an early wicket in the first over, young Terry Ranjit showcased his potential with a classy 30. The batsmen dug in and scored steadily, taking advantage of any loose deliveries. Ibad Usman tested his new bat effectively, scoring 25 with some big hits. Parks reached the target with 26 overs to spare, finishing at 105-4 in 17.1 overs.

It was a perfect game for Parks in all departments, particularly in fielding, as they took seven out of eight catching opportunities offered by the opposition. Parks have now moved to 6th position in the league with five games remaining, aiming to solidify their spot in the upper quarter of the league table.
