Match report Parks faced the high-flying Frenford at home for the second leg of the competition. Losing the toss on a humid day, Parks were put into bat on a flat track with a fast outfield, a situation that favoured batting. Stand-in skipper Manicks Shankar was pleased to lose the toss, as the team had planned to bat first anyway.

The Parks innings started brightly with openers Terry Ranjit (17) and Krish Verma (12) scoring at a brisk rate of 6 runs per over. However, it was the in-form Upen Sanga who stole the show with a sparkling 81, hitting 11 fours and 3 sixes. Returning player Fahad Yusuf provided solid middle-order support with a classy 42. Parks seemed poised to score over 250, but a lower-order collapse saw them finish their innings at 231 with 2 overs to spare. Veteran Frenford bowler Ramnik Bhardwaj bowled exceptionally well, capturing 4 wickets.

In reply, Frenford came out swinging and maintained a steady scoring rate to stay in the race. Drawing on the previous week's experience, Parks skipper utilised the spinners to take the pace off the ball, making it difficult for the batters to score freely. Off-spinner Yash Patel (8-0-28-0) and 13-year-old left-arm spinner Tanay Shetty (7-0-28-1) bowled economically to keep the runs down. Shetty, in particular, shone by taking his first senior cricket wicket, clean bowling the Essex Over 50 player Zulfi Hussain. Upen Sanga (13-1-61-2) was the only other bowler to have any significant impact.

Despite the efforts of the Parks bowlers, Frenford managed to cross the finish line with 1 over to spare, winning the match by 7 wickets. For Frenford, opening batsman Rohit Puthawala played a match-winning innings, scoring an impressive 127.

This result marks the second consecutive week that Parks have lost at home due to not putting enough runs on the board when batting first. They need to find a way to win their upcoming matches to move out of the relegation zone.
