Match report After a tough loss last week, Parks were looking to bounce back with a win and with back to back games against bottom of the leage Horndon On The Hill, it was the perfect chance for the first team. Skipper Paran won the toss and elected the field first to put the pressure on Horndon straight away. The opening bowlers bowlers (Sifth Ali) who claimed 3 wickets for 40 runs and (Anujan Thiru) who claimed 1 wicket did not allow the batsmen to get away. They both did exactly what we needed them to do and they put the pressure on Horndon and they were on the money. They were well supported by Priyamal Perera took 2 for 10 who was not easy to get away. Horndon scored 148/9 in their 50 overs, with Paul Bennett top-scoring at 43 runs.

In response, Oakfield Parkonians CC chased the target in 35.1 overs, scoring 149/3. Faisal Bhatti led with 49 runs he steered the innings well and batted with maturity and class and didn't give Horndon any chances early and he was well supported by Bilaal Anwar (21) and Umar Choudhry's unbeaten 33. This meant that Parks won by 7 wickets and it was good to get back to winning ways and do really well in the overs format for the first half of the season. We now shift our focus to the timed cricket and we start at Horndon away this week.
