Five & Heronians CC 4th XI 326 for 5 wickets (declared) in 41.5 overs, OPCC 5th XI 148 all out in 38.3 overs.
Parks suffered a heavy defeat in the hands of a strong Five Heronians 4th XI in the returned game despite a convincing win in the first meeting early in the season.
Parks opted to field first on a green wicket after winning the toss and started well with taking an early wicket but thereafter Parks were unable to make further break through as the opening batsman Anand Khandelwal (126) and Yasir Bhatti (121) put on a massive first wicket partnership of 241 in 28 overs taking advantage of poor fielding and drop catches. Fives declared at 326 for 5 wickets after 31.5 overs. Pick of the bowler for Parks was the young talented Nilay Tenjura with 3 wickets for 48 runs in 5.5 overs.
In reply Parks needing just over 7 runs an over in their revised 43 overs, lost two early wickets within the first 11overs. The excellent 2nd wicket partnership of 73 runs between Waqar Yusuf (55) and Praven Sureshan (43) helped to bring the score to 129 before the last hour of the game, hoping to savage a draw out of this game. Unfortunately the middle order fell apart and Parks lost too many wickets too cheaply and Parks were all out for 148 in the 39th over. Hasnain Imtiaz and Yasir Bhati took 4 wickets apiece for Fives and Heronians.
