Parks beat Ilford 5th XI away at Hainault Recreational ground after Ilford set a target of 115 on a difficult pitch by 6 wickets with 18 overs to spare.
Thanks to the in-form opener Tariq Jamell (34) got Parks off to a flying start. Despite Park losing three wickets in a quick succession to the Ilford skipper M Ali, Sarbjeet Singh and the young Aayush Desai steadied the ship. After Sarbjeet Singh lost his wicket playing one shot too many for 13, AayushDesai (24no) and Sachin Arora (8no) played sensibly, the result never really looked in doubt as Parks got home with plenty of wickets and time to spare. M Ali for Iford was the only success bowler with 4 wickets for 17 runs in his allotted 8 overs.
Earlier, Parks opening pair Nav Kaley and Sachin Arora bowled well to take a wicket a piece. Ilford opening batsman Muhammed Shafiq looking dangerous but introduction of Subhash Patel (6-0-22-2) paid dividend as he was bowled after scoring 30 runs. All the bowers exploited the pitch condition, particularly Shaid Khan with impressive figures of 3 wickets for 11 runs in 7 overs.
