The home team captain won the toss and chose to bat, sending Parks to field. Parks' opening bowlers, Sriraman Srividyanandan and Aman Patel, took advantage of the favourable conditions and a difficult uneven pitch, troubling the Ilford opening pair with their pace. Aman Patel (10-1-25-2) made an immediate impact, with an exceptional caught and bowled in his first over. Despite the rain, Parks' bowlers continued to take regular wickets, with colt Sriraman Srividyanandan (10-1-19-4) standing out by claiming four wickets with his pace and bounce. Despite number of catches being dropped, Ilford struggled and were eventually bowled out for a below-par score of 146 runs in 29 overs. Other wickets were shared between Manicks Shankar, Satish Chaudhari, Santron Thivaharan and Hassam Jamil.

In their chase, Parks' new opening duo of Amar Desai and Akhil Patel started cautiously but steadily accumulated runs. Akhil Patel, who was promoted to the top order, showed his attacking skills by scoring a fluent 68, his second half-century of the season. Amar Desai provided steady support with a well composed 39*. With Parks needing only 11 runs to win and 18 overs remaining, an appeal for a caught behind was turned down by the umpire. This decision led to Ilford disputing the ruling and subsequently conceding the match, giving Parks the victory.

Overall, Parks displayed a good performance with both their bowling and batting and will focus on building on this success as they prepare for future challenges.
