OPCC lost the toss and were asked to field first by Walthamstow on a beautiful sunny day. Park's opening bowlers, Manicks Shankar (8-3-21-1) and Hassan Jamil (8-0-30-2), started well, maintaining pressure on the Walthamstow batsmen who reached 35-0 at the 10-over mark. However, two early chances to dismiss both openers went down begging within the first 6 overs.

Eventually, Walthamstow managed to post a challenging total of 174-9 on an uneven pitch. The pitch offered exaggerated bounce on one end and lacked any life on the other. The remaining wickets were shared between Nikhil Roy-Mukherjee (4-0-17-2), Gurmit Bhatia (5-0-32-2), and Aman Patel (8-0-29-2).

Aware of the difficult conditions, Parks started their innings cautiously. Both openers, Nikhil Roy-Mukherjee (23) and Ibad Usman (13), showed resilience but struggled to score freely on a pitch that made it unpredictable for batsmen. Unfortunately, wickets fell at regular intervals, preventing Parks from forming significant partnerships, and they were eventually bowled out for 116.

This result is highly disappointing, especially after a morale-boosting win the previous week. Parks now need to quickly bounce back if they have any chance of challenging the leaders before the race for a top-half position intensifies.
