The opposition won the toss and elected to bat first on a flat wicket. They started off aggressively, scoring at a steady rate of 7 runs per over against some below par bowling. At the 20-over mark, they had reached a commendable score of 130 for the loss of 2 wickets.

The breakthrough came through Nimanka De Silva (6-0-38-1), who skilfully trapped the opener LBW, providing the much-needed breakthrough. Following that, Nikhil-Roy Mukherjee (2-0-47-2) joined the action and bowled well, claiming 2 important wickets. However, it was the veteran bowler, Gurmit Bhatia, who emerged as the star performer, taking an impressive 4 wickets (8-0-32-4). His exceptional bowling skills not only accounted for crucial dismissals but also contributed to restricting the opposition's final score to 214 all out. Fazan Habib (1.5-0-6-2) and Ibad Usman (3-0-11-1) also chipped-in with the ball. Parks took five out of the seven catches offered by the opposition.

In response, Parks, started their innings positively with Nikhil-Roy Mukherjee (19) displaying some exquisite shots early on. Following the openers’ dismissals at the 8th over, Fazan Habib (70) and Fahad Yusaf (80) formed a match-winning partnership of over 150 runs. Both batsmen played beautifully and frustrated the opposition by hitting the ball all around the park including 20 boundaries between them. Their partnership played a vital role in turning the game in favour of Parks. Just as it seemed like they would single-handedly guide their team to victory, both batsmen departed after scoring the bulk of the runs with the scores at 200-5 after 36 overs.

With the game hanging in the balance, Ramesh Manickavasagan and Sachin Arora stepped up to the occasion and calmly guided their side over the finish line with 5 balls to spare earning a 5 wicket victory for Parks. The team will look to carry this positive energy forward and continue their winning streak in the upcoming matches.
