Match report Oakfield Parkonians travelled to 2nd place Hornchurch hoping to build on their 3 consecutive wins and extend their lead at the top of the league; with a weak team due to poor availability this was always going to be a hard task.

On a flat track in the boiling sun Parks bowled well at time but just have too many bad balls. Yet again dropped catches cost OPCC as we dropped 2 simple catches and the Hornchurch batter went on to make a 100. With a mixture of poor death bowling and good batting Hornchurch finished on 269. Oakfield knew this was slightly over par but winning 3 on the bounce we were hopeful we could win a 4th.

In reply Parks failed. The only stand out performance was Aman Ali with a 50 on return, but sadly he wasn’t supported and Oakfield collapsed to 160 all out.

We go again next week playing struggling Billericay at home, only being 2 points off top OPCC are still in the hunt for promotion.
