Match report After last weeks defeat, Oakfield Parkonians welcomed third place Woodford wells who have lost one game all year and were going to be a tough oppoisition. Skipper Paran Kalley lost the toss again and Woodford Wells elected to bat first. It proved to be the right call from the Wells skipper with Parks struggling to get any early breakthroughs. There were a lot of chances that were put down from the boys and the openers counted on that and after 25 overs seemed to be looking for an early declaration and were on course to get 290/300. Not a lot of stand out performances with the ball but Om Thakeria bowled extremley well. He did well to contain the batsmen and pick up some cruical wickets from his spell. Wells were always on top through the first innings and finished on a total of 260 off their 47.2 overs and declared early giving us 47 overs to chase 261 on what was a good batting track.

The chsae started off ok, both opners were weary and were doing well to tackle the moving ball. But the same story as last week and same story as our season unfortuantley. A few batsmen getting starts but no one kicking on. 8 wickets falling to catches and some terrible shot choices left us fighting for the draw with 6/7 overs to go. Wells picked up the last wicket giving them the win and fully deserved in all honesty. It was good to see Vibhor Yadav get his first 50 for the club and looked like he was regaining some good form. After this loss it now leaves Parks 60 points off top and 51 points off a promotion place. It is not completely out of site yet but it is now definiately a uphill battle to try and get that promotion to div 1. The boys have to get over the defeat quickly as a trip to fellow promotion chasing Aztecs is next for the boys.
