Match report After last weeks win against Gidea Parks, Oakfield Parkonians travelled to Harold Wood in the second round of the cup. Harold Wood won the toss and elected to bat first on what looked like a good batting track. Harold Wood got off to the perfect start not losing a wicket inside the first 10 overs and really put pressure on the Parks bowlers. Harold Wood batted extremely well at times and being 150-2 at drinks looked as if they were going to post a total that was going to be well over 300. However, like last week Parks pulled it back in the second half and restricted the Harold Wood batsmen. But the most disappointing thing to come from the game was the amount of wides that Parks bowled. 44 wides were bowled in the Harold Wood innings, something that just isn't good enough, Harold Wood ended up on a total of 277 which is way more than Harold Wood should've have gotten because of the amount of wides that were bowled. But at halftime it was 278 needed for Parks.

The innings didn't go to plan losing quick wickets and something that was a theme throughout the innings. The class and experience of the opposition really showed, and there were only two notable innings from the Parks boys which was Umar Choudhry 50 and Osman Choudhry 40 not out. Other than that it was poor showing from Oakfield Parkonians with the bat and on another day if we limited the extras we may have one the game. Nevertheless there were some positives to take away from the game like the efforts from the Choudhry brothers but also bowling out another Div 1 side for the second time in two weeks. We now move onto league cricket next week where we welcome Leigh-On-Sea.
