Match report Parks welcomed Wanstead in yet another important match knowing a win will keep the promotion chances alive. The stand-in captain Bhavik won the toss and elected to bowl first, wantstead openers were off to a flier in first 5 overs, but then Sachin (9-1-45-2) and Nimanka (8-2-32-2) picked up crucial wickets within first 10 overs and wanstead were on the back foot suddenly. The spin trio Navin (9-4-20-1), Prajen (9-1-45-1) and Nikhil (7-0-37-0) continued their bowling form and put opposition under pressure and restricted them to 206/8 in 45 overs which parks felt comfortable total to chase down.

However parks chase didn’t start off well, losing 3 quick wickets within first 2 overs with just 5 runs on the board. Then came the match winning patnership of 120+ runs between Chetan (55 runs) and Nikhith (60 runs), both batted impressively with controlled agression and some eye pleasing shots against a very good pace attack. Once Nikhith and chetan got out, wanstead thought they had a chance but Navin (39 runs) and Kleon (20 runs) who batted superly along with the crucial support from the lower middle order knocked off the remaining runs and secured a crucial win for the parks.

Parks remaining 2 games are with Shenfield and Billericay who are also in contention for the Top 2 spot, winning both the games will give us a great shot at the promotion.
