Match report After last weeks draw, Parks welcomed second place Westcliff. Skipper Paran Kalley won the toss and elected to bowl first. Opening bowlers Selvam Ramsamay (13-166-2) and Osman Choudhary (12-1-47-2) bowled excellently with the new ball. They bowled with control and swung the ball which made it hard for the Wescliff batsmen to get them away. They were well backed by Paran (12.5-1-41-3) and Ravi Teja (12-1-64-2). Parks seemed to be in control of the game having Wescliff 150 for 8 after 35 overs. However, a 74 run partnership by batsmen 9 and 10 allowed Wescliff to put a competitive total on the board at 224. It was something the boys were not happy with as they felt that they should have wrapped the innings up and not allowed Westcliff to get a competitive total on the board. But nonetheless it was something Parks were confident in chasing.

The chase didn't get off to the best start losing a wicket early on. But Umar Choudhary (37) and Raihan Hussain (24) steady the ship. They both batted with class and rotated the strike really well and put Westcliff on the back foot. Then Ravi entered the crease and always bated with class. He steered the innings so well for his score of 60 and was hitting his shots all round the ground. He was well supported by Aman Ali (34). The last hour Parks needed 76 off just 17 overs with 7 wickets in hand and all indications led to a Parks victory. However, 3 quick wickets after drinks brought Westcliff back into the game and Parks having to fight for the win now. While Ravi was at the crease anything was possible. But, needing just 42 of 7 overs Ravi was caught behind and had to depart, leaving the lower order having to try and knock the runs off. But again the Parks lower order couldn't get it going and support Paran (22) towards the end which mean the last two had to play for the draw with 3 overs to go and still only 33 runs needed. If there were wickets in hand the outcome may have been different but Paran and Selva batted very well at the end and didn't allow Westcliff to get the final wicket and ultimately get the win. It ended as a draw which in hindsight may have been the fairest result.
