Match report Oakfield Parkonians played Loughton at home for the first match of the Cox and Kings Cup

Captain Kajanantis Skandamoorthy won the toss and elected to bowl first.

The bowlers immediately set a positive tone with Ashwin Sureshan starting off with two maidens to provide a solid base for the rest of the bowling innings. Some solid bowling and fielding from the U15s managed to restrict Loughton to 113 with 7 wickets falling to either catches or run outs. Ashwin finished with brilliant figures of 2-6 and S.Sriraman 2-32

Oakfield came in to bat and started off with a six from Nikhil Mukherjee. However, wickets soon started to fall however some good batting by Mannan Arora (19) and Ali Khan (24) managed to slightly steady the ship. After some poor running between the wickets, Parks lost 4 wickets by run outs and fell short by 15 runs on 98.


It was a disappointing loss for the U15, with the bowling and fielding generally being good but the batting poor.
