Match report
This week Parks visited league leaders Walthamstow for the penultimate game of the season with yet another weakened team due to club player availability at the top. Parks skipper won the toss and elected to bat on a dry wicket.

Parks openers Sreeroop Maniyath and Gobi Jeevakumar started in a hurry and put on 33 in just 4 overs. However once Gobi departed for a good catch at slip the scoring rate slowed down and wickets started to tumble on regular intervals to a very good bowling attack. Sreeroop on his return to cricket after two years made a patient 19. On his debut, Ahmed Hameed made an eye pleasing 28. Colt Syed known for his pace bowling showed his batting skills lower down the order with few big hits. However, once again the lack of depth in the batting lineup against a quality team proved difficult to put a decent score on the board and Parks got bowled out for a disappointing 116.

As usual, Walthamstow came out all guns blazing to complete the chase in quick time. Parks opening bowlers Shankar and Syed created early chances but only one catch was taken brilliantly by young colt Krishan at point. Few other difficult catches went down on the boundary line and Walthamstow scored freely with some lusty blows you only see in IPL. One of the six from the bat of Asif Khan landed outside of the ground into a nearest farm land. All bowlers bowled well and 4 wickets were picked up in the process but the total was too little to defend against a top team. Wathamstow completed the chase on the 17th over and won the match by 6 wickets.
