Oakfield Parkonians Cricket Club Lost by 155 runs

Match report With school exams in full swing, Parks had to call up some players this week in a difficult trip to Nutter Lane to play Wanstead 4s.

Still trying to find a line and length, the bowling was erratic. Combined with another 8 drop catches this week, Parks really let Wanstead get away on a pitch that was hard work to bat on. Ibrahim Iqbal bowled a superb long spell to finish with 1/62 off 16 overs, and Zubair Raja again bowled well with 2/81 from 16. The wickets however, fell to returning Indi Bhatia, who picked up 4/30 in 5 overs at the end. Parks therefore faced a daunting chase over 250 to win.

The chase never got going, and at one stage Parks were 50/8. 20 from Jamie Gordon and some resistance from Talha Raja (17), got Parks to a paltry 97 all out, losing by a mammoth 155 runs. It can only get better next week, can't it?
