Oakfield Parkonians Cricket Club Won by 80 runs

Match report Parks lost the toss and were put in to bat. The outfield and pitch were both slow due to the previous weeks weather, so the openers batted through the first half of the innings, reaching 106/1 in 20 overs thanks largely to Teerath Diocee scoring 44.There were contributions from Alan Bouquet (26), Keerthi Thangavel (27), and Luke Coates (32), but the innings was given a strong finish thanks largely to Captain Jamie Gordon scoring an unbeaten 50 to get Parks up to a strong 212/4 off their 40 overs.



That was always going to be too much for Loughton, with Parks bowling superb lines and lengths, giving the batsman little opportunity to score. All the bowlers performed well to restrict the scoring, but Ibrahim Iqbal again proved his worth in an excellent spell of 8 overs, 3 wickets for just 9 runs. Loughton finished on 132/6. This was a great win after the poor showing in the last completed game. Parks face Buckhurst Hill away next week.
