Match report Following a strong win against Wanstead Parks travelled to Chelmsford as the faced top and second in consecutive weeks. Skipper H. Markatis once again, lost the toss, and Parks were put into bat on what was a soft wicket due to a fair amount of midweek rain.

Parks could not have asked for a worse start finding themselves 11-2 after 5 overs. N. Braithwaite (25) and S. Skandamoorthy (26) put up some resistance battling well and and rebuilding to take parks to 56-2 after 20 overs. However, both failed to push on and make a score to help parks post a respectable total. Towards the end K. Thangavel (32) batted well to drag parks up to 136-10 after 49.4 overs.

Lightning would of had to strike twice for parks to pull off a mirculous victory. However, it was not to be as chelmsford chased comfortably with 7 wickets in hand. T. Bhatia (14-2-44-2) and R. Ananeraj (9-0-34-1) the pick of the bowlers and picked up the only 3 wickets of the chelmsford innings. Once, again the batting has let the 2s down, and needs to be fixed quickly. Plenty to play for as it's still early days and the table remains close.
