Match report After last weeks disappointing result and promotion looking unlikely now. Skipper Paran Kalley lost the toss and Leigh On Sea put us in to bat. Other than Paresh Kalley (42) and Mitkumar Patel (40) no one else stood up with the bat. Those two played some lovely shots on what was a good wicket and got Parks to a defendable total of 154. It was annoying as if the batsmen applied themselves better than 200 could've easily been reached. Paresh batted with maturity at the top of the order and is moulding well into the openers position. Mit also batted well, he put the pressure on the spinners and even when wickets were falling all around him he continued to score.

Defending 154 was always going to be difficult but the reliable as ever Selvam Ramasamy (9-4-21-4) tried his best to get us back into the game. But Leigh on sea showed Parks how to bat on this wicket and chased the total down comfortably with 14 overs to spare. This now puts Parks mathematically out of the promotion race and it was one that another time could've swung in Parks favour. We now have a home game against Orsett and Thurrock to end the 2021 season.
