Match report On a very humid afternoon Oakfields Parkonians Skipper lost the toss and we were forced to bowl. Oakfield started off well with some excellent bowling for skipper Matthew Holland (5-1-8-3) and Jamie Bailey (4-0-19-0). Ashwin Sureshan (5-1-21-1) and Sachin Arora ( 7-0-30-2) kept the bowling tight causing extreme pressure for batsmen (all why being 1 man down in the field). Samay Bhattacharjee (4-0-34-0) came into the attack and couldn't quite find his length against their opening batsmen who had survived the other 4 bowlers. Samay was unlucky not to get a wicket, if a catch had been taken or he kept his foot behind the line he could of had very different figures. However, the main talking point of the innings was Praven sureshan (6-0-34-3 )who came back onto the field after being injured early on and bamboozled the batsmen with his spin picking up 3 wickets and a runout to finish the innings early. The target of 165 to win off 40 overs had been and OPCC were confident they could grab their first win of the season.

Parks started off well with Amar Desia and Rohit Ananderaj getting parks to 44 off the first 12 overs before the dismissal of Amar on (8). In came number 3 Shamik Ghosh who had a quick and entertaining (18) before he was caught out. Aayush Desia (2) and Aaron Dihman (5) both looked comfortable until 1 loose shot and they were gone. In came skipper Matt who to support the main man himself Rohit. Rohit batted through the overs and hit the winning runs after reaching his first 100 of the season. After giving the opposition early chances he capitalised and put away the bad balls putting pressure on the bowlers. In the end Oakfield was comfortably by 5 wickets with 5.2 overs to spare.
