Match report Looking to bounce back from last weeks loss, Parks travelled to Shenfield CC. With the overnight rain and overcast conditions, Parks Captain elected to bowl first.

Parks opening bowlers Nav Kalley & Jigar Desia (9-5-12-4) bowled well in tandem, with Jigar getting the early breakdown removing Shenfield captain Owen early for 1. Jigar managed to remove a couple more of Shenfield top order at which time it looked like Parks would be able to finish the Shenfield innings much earlier than expected. However, Shenfield’s young colt Dillon and senior Neil batted sensibly, frustrating Parks in the process. The partnership was only broken due to a run out of Neil for 13, which led to a Shenfield collapse. Parks spinner Tahir Razzaq was the chief destroyer coming on to pick up 4 wickets for only 14 runs. The first and second change bowlers Manicks Shanker and Anuj Tewari, like Nav Kalley bowled well, and can feel unlucky not to have actually picked up a wicket or two. In the end, Shenfield were bowled out for 104 in the allocated 45 overs, with young Dillon remaining not out for 34.

In response, Parks chased down the target in the 22 over for the loss of 3 wickets. The main contributor for Parks being Bhavik Trivedi who made a sensible 56 not out.

Overall a very satisfying win for Parks, who next week entertain Buckhurst Hill CC in the the first limited overs match of the season.
