Match report Parks 2nd XI have now entered the stage of the season where every game has become a must win. Skipper won the toss and elected to bat first. Parks batted well throughout the innings, it was not an easy wicket to get settled on. A few batsmen had made starts but the noticeable score off 56 from Faisal Bhatti was a well constructed innings. He took the game deep and allowed the lower order to come in and give the ball a hit. Parks were targeting 200 but they were more than content with their score off 189 for 7.

Wells got off to a flyer. Parks bowled a lot of bad balls throughout the innings. Ravi Raval bowled well with figures off (9-0-41-3) and skipper Paran Kalley (9-0-37-4). It was a spinners paradise as the ball was turning square. At one stage the game was look set to be a Parks win when Wells were 145-9. However a 45 run partnership between 10 and 11 meant Wells won by 1 wicket. It was an all round poor effort with the ball from Parks, bowling 45 wides and 6 no balls. Over 50 extras from Parks which wasn't good enough and ultimately handed Woodford Wells the win.
