Oakfield Parkonians Cricket Club Lost by 3 wickets

Match report Parks hosted Wickford in an important game and batted first. Shawn Tuitt was excellent opening the batting to hit runs at will and register 75 of 88 balls in great knock. Clever shot selection and crisp hits meant he flowed and put Wickford to the sword. The only other batsman to flower was Harris Khan with 32 of 72 balls showing great patience and concentration to tick it along. However, the rest of the bating floundered and we were bowled out in 43 overs for 154.

Wickford batted well and showed discipline. Wickets were picked up and stand out was Abdul Razzaq with 13-56-4 wickets who got good turn and bowled with control. However, the total we got was 25 runs below par and Wickford got there in 40 overs and won by 3 wickets.

A good effort by parks but runs on board was the issue. Parks got to 3rd but are only a few points of 2nd placed Horndon. So next week we host Horndon in one of the biggest games in the clubs recent times.
