Match report On a very very windy day parks hosted Benfleet who were 4th and real challengers in the promotion slots. Parks won the toss and stuck Benfleet in.

Parks opening bowlers in contrast to last week were on the money from ball one. Bowling with great control and patience. The runs were sparse and the bad balls non existent as Benfleet had to scrap for every run. The pick was Anujan Thiru who bowling in to a strong wind had the intelligence to adjust and focus on areas to get the rewards of 2 wickets. Then the spinners took over on a pitch offering massive turn and bounce. Pick of the spinners was Abdul Razzaq with 3 wickets who got massive turn and bounce to snare the middle order. The rest of the innings was finished of by Paresh Kalley who bowled his full variety to grab 2 wickets, showing great control and patience like all the bowlers. So Benfleet was bundled out for 112 but on a pitch offering lots of help for spin this would not be easy. Good lesson for the bowlers in hit consistent areas and be patient, then the rewards will come.

Parks were soon in trouble at 20-2 and things were looking dicey. But then stepped up the match winning partnership of 93 between Dhruv Patel and Selvam Ramasamy to win the match. They batted well to see off and score v the Benfleet dangerous opening bowlers and then cashed in on the change bowlers. They batted positively and with good intent to finish the job of with no further issues. In particular Dhruv sparkled with some glorious shots of class. On a pitch offering plenty this was a great knock from both of them and got us an important win.

So Parks stay in 2nd and have won 3 in a row. We travel to South Woodford next week with hopes high of a good result with the return of the time games.
