Oakfield Parkonians Cricket Club Lost by 25 runs

Match report Oakfield Parks hosted top of table Southend. The toss was lost and Southend had a bat.

Things went well as parks unit bowled great. Southend were bundled out form 92. With star of the shown Anujan Thiru bowling great to snare 4 wickets for only 9 runs (7-2-9-4), finding good form and hitting good areas consistently. This was backed up by good fielding with keeper Dave Rai grabbing a fifer in dismissals. The tail was finished by Ravi Teja snaring 2 wickets with a welcome return to the bowling crease.

A good effort but the wicket was offering enormous turn and so any total would be challenge. Thus it proved as Southends paid player Ahmed Khawaja grabbed 7 wickets with a mixture of massive turn and straight ones. So we were all out for 67 in a disappointing loss.

We travel to second place Frenford next week in a must win game.
