Match report Today was set to be a crucial game, with the top 2 teams in the league playing each other. Loughton won the toss and asked OPCC to bat first.

Batting first, Park’s go off to a flyer with George Christian in belligerent form, hitting the opposition to all parts of the ground, and in the process making 50, which included 8 fours and 2 sixes. After the fall of George’s wicket, Loughton managed to bowl well, and control Park’s run flow. Follow on batsmen Maran Mariyathas hit a solid 29, Captain Gurmit Bhatia hitting a well compiled 46, and Chetan Patel contributing late on with a well-made 31 not out. In the end Park’s manged to get to 204 for 8 of the allocated 40 overs.

Loughton came into bat with positive intent, making 37 of 4.4 overs. Unfortunately for all, the heavens opened and the match was called off due to rain & dangerous playing conditions.
