Oakfield Parkonians 4th XI produced a superb all-round performance to record a convincing 174-run victory over Stanford Le Hope CC 3rd XI.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, Oakfield posted an imposing 258 for 9 from their 50 overs. Mark Gager led the way with an entertaining 66 from 61 balls, striking 12 boundaries, while Terry Ranjith anchored the innings with a composed 52. Useful contributions from Awn Minhas (21) and the unbeaten Amar Desai (29)* helped Oakfield finish strongly.

In reply, Stanford Le Hope struggled to gain any momentum against a disciplined Oakfield attack. Mazhar Minhas applied early pressure with figures of 2 for 31, before Kavinkumar Veloopillai took centre stage, producing an excellent spell of spin bowling to claim 5 for 38. Lakshmi Narayanan and Sayem Ahmed chipped in with a wicket apiece and two wickets respectively, while Oakfield backed up their bowlers with sharp fielding throughout.

Only Joseph McCarthy (14) and Vishal Patel (13) reached double figures as Stanford Le Hope were bowled out for 84 in 26.4 overs, sealing a dominant victory for Oakfield.

It was a complete team performance, with the batters laying the platform before the bowlers and fielders combined to secure an emphatic win and the maximum 25 league points.
