Oakfield Parkonians CC secured a convincing 6-wicket victory over Hadleigh & Thundersley on their first away game taking them on top of the league.

On a very hot day, home side won the toss elected to bat first, Hadleigh openes started with aggression taking on seemers scoring 96 in first 8 overs without loosing wicket. At this stage Hadleigh looking towards a very big total, with introducing spin (Tanay) early, oakfield able to get early break through, Tanay managed to get the both settled batters out laving Hadleigh at 111/2 after 10 overs. Aman Ali on one end bowled well taking one wicket suppored by young talent bowler Rian Parmar on the other end picking 3 wickets in his first 5 over spell.

With regular bowling changes, Oakfield Parkonians managed to restrict Hadleigh at 234/all out in 39 overs.

Oakfield Parkonians CC Run Chase

Parkonias started the chase with Faisal and Viraj who looked to make use of powerplay. Orakfiled lost their first wicket (Faisal 9) with a stunning catch brings the person in form Shahariyar who scored back to back centuries into the middle, Shahariyar looked good to take on opposition, was dismissed by a low kept delivery followed by another wicket who is opening better Viraj for 39, at this stage Oakfield looked in trouble 76/3 having two new betters in Neil and Aman who batted sensibily to bring the game back on track with a good partnership of 129 to get the total score to 205 before we have Neil dismissal.

At this stage, its just 30 runs to win Aman and Surya finished the game with 14.4 overs to spare.
