Fives and Heronians 4th XI put in a strong all-round display to secure a 37-run victory away to Oakfield Parkonians. Batting first after winning the toss, F&H posted an impressive 249 for 6 from their 40 overs. Owen Humphrey led the way with a well-paced 60, supported by Gary Norris who added a fluent 50. Late fireworks came from M Rashid Hussain, who smashed an unbeaten 43 off just 23 balls to take the total well past 240.



In response, Oakfield Parkonians made a solid start but struggled to keep up with the required rate. Gowtham Sanga anchored the innings with 44, and Nivain Jayawardana added a quick unbeaten 34 off 24 balls in the latter stages, while Tanay Shetty contributed a handy 26. However, regular wickets and tight fielding from F&H saw the hosts bowled out for 212 in the 38th over.



Musa Zafar starred with the ball, taking 3 important wickets, while Owen Humphrey capped off an excellent all-round performance with 2 wickets and a sharp run-out. The team also executed three run-outs in total, highlighting their strong fielding effort.



Owen Humphrey was deservedly named Player of the Match for his contribution with bat, ball, and in the field. Fives and Heronians take home 20 valuable points from a confident team performance.
