OPCC 5s drew with Goresbrook 3s

Parks lost the toss and asked to field first by the opposition. A good batting track with a fast outfield helped the batsmen and Goresbrook posted a massive 250-10 in their 45 overs. Gurmit Bhatia (8-0-38-4) and Vijay Vijayanathan (10-1-51-3) were the pick of the bowlers for Parks.

In reply, Parks started well scoring 8 runs an over for the first 6 overs even though they lost an early wicket. Tariq Jameel scored a quick fire 27 and youngster Awn Minas (18) provided ample support early on. After Tariq’s departure, Mark Gager showcased his class with a classy and well crafted 60. There were some lower order support from Shahid Khan (28) and Rohan Jeer (12) but in the end Parks settled for a draw scoring 191-7 in 40 overs.
