Oakfield Parkonians Cricket Club Lost by 8 wickets

Match report Batting first Parks lost Ravi Raval to a catch behind off his glove in the first over. Mitchell Potten (28) and Janagan Vijayanathan (49) looked to going well in a partnership of 94 runs whenthey both were out with the score on 97.
Old Parks then suffered from a Springfield bowler bowling his 7th consecutive over, not noticed by umpires, a triple wicket maiden. The only other batsmen to reach double figures were Lakshman Sathananthan (18) and Victor Yatheesh (12 not out) both playing in their first match of the season, Parks finished on 152 all out.
In replay the pick off our bowlers, Vinny Barton (5-2-18-1) with ony 1 run coming off his first three overs kept Chelmsford at bay. By the end of the 23 over Chelmsford ahad reached 155 for 2 to win the match.
Although Parks lost, Vinny Barton who captained the side for the first time showed excellent captaincy skills in setting the field and encouraging the team.
