Match report In the second match in the group stages of the Haydn Davis Cup, Old Park's Under 11's made an impressive total of 176 for 1 from their 20 overs.
Dhruv Patel (20 not out) hitting 14 runs in the first over set the tone of the match. Two other batsmen, Paran Kalley and Karthik Bhat, also retired on the maximum 20 runs allowed.
Karthik Bhat (2-0-4-4) then starred with the ball on a hat trick in both of his overs taking 4 wickets. Sachin Bawa (2-0-13-2 ) and Elliot Wilkinson, Sahil Handa and Rohan Bawa taking a wicket a piece in bowling Theydon Bois out for 57 runs.
The whole team fielded excellently, backing up and chasing down balls heading for the boundary, Karthik and Elliott combining well to stop a four.
