Match report This week Parks hosted BBF CC on a warm day at home. Parks lost the toss and batted first with both openers being lost quickly. However, after that slow start, the Tarunpreet Bhatia show began scoring a beautiful 140 with some scintillating shots and some huge sixes completely tearing apart the bowling attack. However, the next 14 runs was some of the slowest batting ever seen by Tarun in his cricket history taking multiple overs to get his desired 150. His knock was well supported by Mannan Arora at the other end scoring a solid 88 playing a good supporting innings to Tarun. Next came Fazan Habib who came out swinging trying to score all his runs with boundaries as he didn’t want to run. It was an entertaining knock of 32 with some powerful shots around the ground. However, after these strong performances came a string of low scores with Aayush Desai being bowled first ball trying to hit the ball for 6 and Nikhil managing to play all around a straight delivery. In the end Parks came out with a mammoth 336 in their 40 overs.

Parks came out to bowl with lots of confidence with the skipper Vijay bowling a beautiful opening spell locking down one end. With the ball however the gun spinner Nikhil Roy Mukherjee dominated the scorecard taking 4 wickets including a beautiful slip catch from Mannan to get him his fourth. The opposition ended on 253 after some beautiful batting from the opener and some stiff resistance from the tail. However parks could have cleaned up the opposition quicker had Tarun decided to hold onto a dolly that came his way and Ayaan took the tough catch that came his way leaving a sad Fazan wicketless. The opposition finished on a respectable 253 when the game was finished with Parks securing a strong win.
