In a critical showdown where only a victory could secure their survival in the relegation zone, Parks faced off a strong Frenford team in their season's final and pivotal match. Despite losing the toss and being asked to bat on a damp and soft pitch, Parks embarked on their innings with zeal.

The start of Parks' innings encountered a rocky patch when Frenford's formidable young pacer, Bilal Nasiri, swiftly dismissed opening batsman Krishan Dilipkumar in his very first over. However, Jonathan Balakumar dropped anchor, steadying the ship and delivered one of his finest performances of the season, accumulating a valuable 66 runs. He received notable support from Fazan Habib (23), Amar Desai (20), Yash Pater (20), and the hard-hitting Keerthigan 'Kitkat' Thangavel (42). With collective efforts, Parks managed to conclude their innings at 228-10.

On the flip side, Frenford, sitting third in the league and playing solely for pride, commenced their second innings with an aggressive stance. Nonetheless, the second innings turned into a one-man demolition show when 16-year-old prodigy Sriraman Srividyanandan (8-0-28-6) of Parks showcased his skills, pace, and remarkable maturity on the field. Sriraman wasted no time in claiming his first wicket in his very first over caught behind by the ever reliable Amar Desai, causing Frenford to reel at a dismal 55-6 by the 11th over mark. Witnessing this young speedster deliver fiery deliveries with a lengthy run-up, followed by wickets flying consistently, was truly a spectacle. Sriraman's performance was a glimpse of a future star in the making.

However, Frenford displayed resilience through their middle-order fightback, with Furqaan Molvi (55) and Ramnick Bhardwaj (31) forming a partnership to repair some of the early damage inflicted by Sriraman. However, Jonathan Balakumar (6-0-22-2) managed to dismantle the tail-end, eventually bowling out Frenford for 157 with six overs to spare, securing a 71-run victory for Parks.

This gratifying triumph was the result of a cohesive team effort and support from the club management allowing Parks to conclude the season on a high note. It is anticipated that this win will secure Parks' position in the premier division for the upcoming season. With the season behind them, Parks will now take a well-deserved break and regroup during the winter to strategise for the challenges of the next season.
