Match report Oakfield Parkonians arrived at home with full faith to carry on in their winning ways against Loughton.

Parks started extremely well restricting Loughton to 62 - 5 after 18 overs. Oakfield bowlers were a lot more accurate this week compared to last week only giving away 10 wides. Despite this Loughton’s 6th wicket partnership went on for too long until young Prajen Kumar (9-0-28-1) came on to dismiss the opener and bowl extremely well at the death confusing the batsmen with his turn, bounce and variations.

At the half way point OPCC we’re confident they would chase down 179 runs to win. Despite this reasonably low total Parks did try their hardest to make sure they won. Losing wickets at regular intervals put pressure on the Oakfield but Navine Sureshan (22*) showed real maturity to steer the team home 8 wickets down.

Parks now sit top of league and play Hutton next week hoping to extend their lead at the top.
