Match report After back to back wins the ones were looking to extend this runs with a game against second place Springfield. Paran won the toss and elected to bowl first as the pitch was a bit damp and was hoping it would dry up throughout the day and become easier to bat on. Parks got off to the perfect start picking up a wicket on the first ball of the game. It was the perfect start to such a big game and got the boys pumped up. Vibhor Yadav (14-4-44-4) was the pick of the bowlers once again. He bowled extremley well with the new ball and was really unlucky to not pick up some more wickets. With their overseas at the crease and reaching 50 before drinks it seemed as though Springfield were on for 280 plus. At drinks they were 125-3. But Om Tahkeria (12.1-1-62-4) picked up the big wicket of the overseas and he continued to bowl good lines. 170-4 quickly became 210 all out and the boys had done a terrific job. We gained 4 of their overs and it meant we had 49 overs to chase 211 on a good batting track.

The chase started of well, both openers putting away the bad ball and rotating the strike very well. We were 40 for no loss after 10 and looked well set to chase down the target. What was 40-0 quickly became 70-4 which then became 136 all out inside 32 overs. With another 17 overs remaining and only 75 runs needed the boys were bowled out. There were two notable perfromances from Bilaal Anwar (49) and Adil Zareef (40) other than that it was a pretty poor showing from the boys. With the loss it means the boys are now 37 points of 2nd and 41 points off top, which isn't out of our reach at all but makes the journey to divison 1 that much harder.
