Oakfield Parkonians Cricket Club Won By 87 runs

Match report For their final Cox and Kings Cup match of the group stage, the U15s travelled to Frenford knowing that a victory would take them into the quarter-finals.

Captain Kajanatis Skandamoorthy won the toss and elected to bat first.

Ali Khan (26) and Nikhil Mukherjee (33 retired not out) both made a stunning start to the innings, with Ali playing some nice shots on the offside and Nikhil hitting a six. Mannan Arora (30 retired not out) and Krishan Dilipkumar (30 retired not out) both continued this and kept the scoring rate going high with 200 looking a genuine possibility. This was when Daniel Imran (31 retired not out) came in and played very well for a quickfire 31 making it possible for Parks to reach 200.

As Parks went into the second innings to the field they quickly started to take wickets. The economy of the bowlers were genuinely pleasing and the bowlers managed to bowl some good lines. The pick of the bowlers were Zubair (3-17) and Ali (1-13).

Special mention must also go to Samay for a stunning catch at square leg , running in and managing to catch the ball with one hand.

All in all it was a great game for Parks especially with the bat and in the field However the bowling must still improve with too many extras being given.
