Match report Parks got off to a strong start after captain Harry Markatis won the toss and chose to bat.

After 10 overs they were 58-0 Ali Khan in particular playing a number of impressive shots for his 27. Vikram Handa (36) and Mannan Arora (30) continued scoring freely both looking very comfortable guiding parks to drinks 108-2 at 20 overs. Unfortunately, Parks experienced a mini collapse which involved 3 run outs, something that needs to be eradicated for future weeks. 146-7 with 5 overs left of the innings. With some good running and hitting at the death parks managed to climb to 191-10 with 3 balls to spare. A defendable total.

After the break parks set about defending their total. It did not get off to the best start as Ilford raced to 50 off 8 overs. However, T. Bhatia (8-1-23-2) who looked almost back to his best made the vital breakthrough. Ilford kept on scoring as parks kept on taking wickets, and at one point it looked as though it was going to get away from parks. But all the bowlers chipped in well, H. Shah (8-1-28-2), D.Patel (8-0-45-1), Zubair (8-0-35-2) and S. Skandamoorthy (2-0-11-2). Parks finished the opposition off with a run out of their own with a great bit of fielding from M. Arora, who was immense in the field all day.

The future is bright for Parks. Looking forward to next weeks first league game away to Ilford once again.
