Match report Parks visited Epping 3rds for the first of the time games at their picaresque ground at Coopersale in Epping. Conditions were dry, warm, fair and sunny.

Parks won the toss and elected to field first. Parks opened the bowling with the returning veteran Jigar Desai and regular opener Akhil Patel. Epping showed their intend from the second ball and started to play some attacking shots. The outfield was fast and the runs started to flow freely in the first 8 overs. Epping lost wickets in regular intervals but they kept the scoring rate up and ended their innings with 239 - 8 after 45 overs. Aman Patel was the pick of the bowler who bowled with pace and and aggression and finished with 4 for 57 after 12 overs. Other 4 wickets were shared between JD, Akhil and Gurmit. Soleman top scored for Epping with a well made 75.

Parks were confident in chasing the total on a flat wicket with a fast outfiled. However they came across a very good pace bowler in Sharyar who bowled with pace and accuracy and moved the bowled at will causing problems to the top order. The chase started in the worst possible way when opener Santron got bowled by Sheryar on the very first over. From that point forward scoring become hard against a good bowling attack and wickets fell at regular intervals and Parks struggled to put any decent partnerships together to get close to the target. In the end Parks decided to go for a draw after the 25th over with the score at 92-6.

Opener Bhavik stayed for the first 20 overs anchoring the innings and scored a patient 36. The other notable performance came from the number 7 batsman Nikhith who held the second half of the innings until the 35th over and scored a well made 36. The tail then went on a rare guard action and managed to get a draw with 9 wickets down. Jigar played a notable innings to stay not out and to see the team over the crossing line for a well earned draw. Parks ended their innings with 145-9 after 40 overs.

Once again number of dropped catches at crucial stages of the game allowed the opposition to get away. These mistakes need to be ironed out in the coming games to return to winning ways.
