Match report Oakfield Parkonians first team went into this game confident after a comfortable win last week. Skipper Paran Kalley lost the toss and was asked to bat first. Parks got off to the worst start find themselves 13-3 off just 4 overs. Ravi Teja (13) and Raihan Hussain (24) showed a bit of resistance but Parks kept finding it difficult to bat and put partnerships together. The crucial partnership was put together by Paresh Kalley (25 not out) and Sahil Handa (20), which was 32 off just 42 balls. Some powerful hitting from Sahil and sensible batting from Paresh saw Parks get to a below par score off just 131. Parks were disappointed with their score and knew that they had to bowl their hearts out in order to get the win.

Parks started the innings in the perfect way with Anujan Thiru (9-2-22-5), picked up a wicket in his first over. Anujan was unplayable, he bowled tight lines and allowed the batsmen to make their mistakes. Although some of Harlow Towns batsmen tried to get the game done quickly Parks held their nerve and continued to get regular wickets. With the score being 30-2 and Harlow Town find themselves bowled out for 68 is testament to the bowlers and the team for putting together the perfect bowling and fielding performance. Parks know this is something they cannot do this every week and have a tough game at home to Westcliff-on-Sea where Parks will be looking to pick up another crucial 20 points.
