Match report Woodford Wells travelled to Oakfield for the first match in the Brian Taylor Trophy Competition. Wells won the toss and elected to field. Opcc had a very good start from Prajen Kavinkumar and Ayaan Usman who put on an opening partnership of 65 off 10 overs. Prajen was bowled for 14 and Ayaan continue to score 85 not out. Nilay Tenjura and Navine Surshan picked up the batton scoring 22 and 20 respectively and played very good support role to finish the score at 187/2 in 25 overs.
Woodford Wells has a great start too and maintained 7-8 runs/ overs throughout the innings. Our bowlers bowled well but fielding was a let down for Parks. Wells needed 7 runs to win off the last over. Navine bowled the death over and took it to last ball with 2 runs required to win. The Wells Batsman went for it and were run out trying for the match winning second run, result? Match tied a very good exciting game of cricket.
