Parks won the toss and elected to bat first and got off to a reasonable start on a difficult pitch but lost 3 wickets in quick succession.
Opener Amar Desai was hitting good runs and a decent score looked on the cards as he was well supported by Nikhith Poddutoori but was LBW for 22. Parks were unable to score fluently as the visitors kept the batsmen at bay but 139 for 9 off of 40 overs looked a decent score on the pitch. Amar batted well to score 51 runs. Jai Johal for Hutton picked up 4 wickets for 22 runs in his allotted 8 overs.
Parks started well as Thomas Varnes and Syed Muttaqueen opening the bowling took a wicket a piece within the first 5 overs but the incoming batsman Dan Latham capitalised on poor fielding and put a good partnership with R Morris (11) and B Debenham (17) to bring the score to 111 for 4. Introduction of Amar Desai ended Dan Latham’s innings of 52 when he was caught and bowled, Hutton still needing 28 off 8 overs lost 4 more wickets in quick succession but managed to reach the target with 11 balls to spare. Overall it was a good contest despite Parks on the losing end. Amar Desai was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets conceding only 14 runs off 6 overs.
