Match report OPCC 4’s beat Loughton 4’s by 85 runs.

Weather conditions was lovely except slight wind. Square did not have much life left on it, Out field was slow. Skipper won the toss and elected to bat first. George Christian opening the innings with now his regular partner Nikhil Mukherjee and went on to score solid 47. No 3 bat Bhavik Trivedi batted superbly (72), highest scorer of the day. Keerthi Thangavel (18) & Yashesh Patel (12) made valuable contributions. Parks batted 39 overs and scored 186 runs.

Parks were positive when they took the field. Players were sharp and hungry. Fighting with each other for the ball, Great sign. Evergreen Manicks Shankar started the inning with 2 wickets in first two balls. Both batsman had no idea, both were bowled out comprehensively. Shankar ended up with 4 wickets, including opposition skipper Tony Greval, who can be very destructive. Superb performance by Shanks. On his return to 4th team Aman Patel bowled well without picking up wickets. Rest of the bowling attack did well and picked up 2 wickets each. All contributed to a complete victory.

Loughton struggled to get runs, they were pretty much on survival mode most of the game.Eventually Parks bowled the opposition out for 101 with 10 overs to spare. Recording 84 victory over a decent team.
