Match report With light rain falling this was a good toss to win; Oakfield duly did and asked Rainham to bat. A maiden from Suleman Shaheen (4-1-12-1) was followed by a wicket for Karandeep Bansel (3-0-10-2), a fine catch by Arya Karthikeyan. An lbw in the third from Suleman and a clean bowled for Karandeep in the fourth saw Rainham reeling on 9 for 3. The new batsmen played cautiously and put on a 30 run partnership for the fall of the fourth wicket; a superb caught and bowled by Praven Sureshan (4-0-22-2). The fifteenth over saw a Jamie Bailey catch off the bowling of Sujeev Suganthan (2-0-4-1) with Rainham on 41. A further wicket for Praven as the rain worsened saw the teams come off for an unplanned break. When play resumed Rainham concluded their 20 overs on 71 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.

72 runs to win seemed an achievable target but the conditions favoured the bowling side. This was proved true in the first over with the lbw dismissal of Sujeev with the score on 1, Amanjit Singh (4) followed shortly after so it was left to Reuben Chandy and Andrien Amirthanayagam to build an innings. Andrien was caught on 8 and Reuben went on to retire on 31* which left Ali Khan 5* and Samuel Varnes to see out the innings, with the score on 70 Samuel hit a 6 to finish on 21*and a 7 wicket win for Oakfield who reached 76 for 3 off 15 overs.
